We are a small, early childhood therapy service supporting children on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We specialise in supporting pre-school aged children (aged 0-6 years) who have autism or developmental delays. We work with children, their families, and educators in their natural, everyday environments - at preschool or in their homes.
We support children to develop their skills across a range of areas including joint attention and social communication skills, play and social skills, and emotional literacy and regulation skills. We also support parents and educators to better understand their child's unique strengths and needs, and ways to support their child's development.
Liz Foster is the Principal Psychologist at Thriving Kids Psychology, and has over 15 years experience working with children and families. She is passionate about supporting children's development during the early childhood years.
Before creating Thriving Kids Psychology, Liz held positions as a school psychologist in both mainstream and autism-specific education settings. Liz has also worked in large not-for-profit disability organisations, in early childhood intervention programs and in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) teams.
Liz is a certified facilitator of the Westmead Feelings Program, an evidence-based social and emotional skills program for autistic children. Liz has also completed advanced training in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), an effective play-based therapy for preschool-aged autistic children.
